Is it OK for my daughter to register for her wedding gifts online versus at our local department store?

Most couples now purposely register with stores that offer online registries too. Stores from Macy's to Target, Williams Sonoma to Tiffany & Co. all offer online registries for couples. Ideally, your daughter will still visit her favorite store to scan items that she'd like. Also, online-only stores also offer registries, such as Amazon, which brings together several stores under one web site "roof." The convenience for your guests cannot be understated. It is easier to find gifts online, they can see in real-time which items have already been selected, and can fill out a card to express their well wishes. The best part: the gift is shipped directly to your daughter (often at no cost).
